What is a French Drain?
A French drain is an efficient underground system designed to redirect water from the wettest parts of your property. It consists of a trench filled with clean drain rock and a perforated pipe, effectively moving surface and groundwater away. This proven method prevents water accumulation and protects your property from potential damage.
Our Process
Site Assessment
We begin with a comprehensive site assessment, carefully identifying drainage challenges and determining optimal locations for French drain installation. Soon after, you receive a proposal for your drainage correction.
Scheduling
Once you approve the project, we work closely together to establish a date for installation that is convenient for your schedule. We keep in touch as your date approaches and contact 811 to locate utilities prior to starting.
Installation
We arrive on site and start the process of completing the “Scope of Work” that was included in your proposal to install the French drain system. This will typically include excavation of the trench and encapsulating the trench with drainage fabric. We then add drain rock and perforated pipe within the fabric. Finally, we wrap the fabric around the French drain to create a “burrito” and will backfill the trench with either soil or drain rock.
